ALTROY JEROME

Altroy Jerome is a U.S.-born DJ and producer whose sound blends deep, soulful textures with a broad spectrum of electronic rhythms. Born in Harlem, New York, and now based in Vienna, he has built an international reputation for delivering refined underground dance music across clubs, festivals, and cultural events throughout North America, Asia, Europe, Russia, and the Arabian Peninsula.

Over the years, he has shared the stage with a wide range of influential artists, including Robert Hood, Kevin Saunderson, Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin, DJ T-1000, Moodymann/Kenny Dixon Jr., and the late great Mike Huckaby, bridging classic Detroit heritage with contemporary global sounds.

Beyond DJing, Altroy explores live improvisation as part of the collaborative project altroy–kern–quehenberger, alongside Philipp Quehenberger and DiDi Kern. His production work includes releases and remixes on Editions Mego, Pomelo, and his own label, Minimalsoul™. He is also co-founder of the vibrant event series ‘A party called JACK, contributes mixes and arrangements to the soul label Record Shack and runs MSR Distro | Minimalsoul™, a Vienna-based vinyl distribution platform.

Altroy holds a weekly residency at one of Vienna’s sonically pleasing clubs Praterstrasse / PRST and is a selector on 98.3 FM Radio Superfly “Your Soul Radio”. He continues to shape his musical identity through both broadcast and live performance.

His performances span a diverse array of respected festivals, cultural institutions, and underground venues worldwide—from Ars Electronica and Lighthouse Festival / LHF to intimate club spaces across cities such as London, Tokyo, Detroit, Berlin, and New York—reflecting a career defined by versatility, collaboration, and a deep commitment to independent and soulful electronic music..
